It's beautifully well-executed here, to the extent that the effort probably flies under the radar for most. He never really gives up on her, even when she was at her lowest or meanest. Their love story wasn't always pretty, but it was real, and to me that makes it beautiful. I love hearing from my readers and I read, reply, and appreciate every one of the comments I receive! Yes there is some sex in the book but it's not what this story is about and I thought it was enough to add to the overall enjoyment. So what will come of these two? Because fatty foods crisps, chocolate, takeaway, McDonalds aren't just dangerous because they make you fat, but they have an awful, terrible impact on your health.
She won't win William's heart if she's woefully inexperienced, so Celia is helping her to try out some light-flirting on the gentlemen of London. The book spans over a time period of five months and this was great, there's none of that insta-love nonsense which makes it believable. But I was glad that Manning didn't write him as a through-and-through jerk - she lets Neve's sister-in-law be the fat-shaming bully with her own issues , not Max. Now that she knew she was boring and physically repulsive, even to a man who did spellchecking for a living, there was no harm in standing up and giving her tights and knickers a really good yank. You don't need a man to have sex with you to feel good about your body image.
I would hope that things could actually be that way and someone stunning could look past the outside to the inside of a person. Well maybe because these books talk about me. There is so much more to both Max, and especially to Neve, than first meets the eye, and I enjoyed every reveal along the way. Neve, on the other hand, was sturdy, that was a given. Also, this book made me understand why men hate women who do nothing but whine about their weight. Although there was a few 5 star moments, there was a few times I felt the story drag. Trust me on this -- desperate.

Granted, a moment that wavers between disastrous and outrageous, but a moment nonetheless.
